Felicitas Lensing-Hebben (1951–2022) saw herself primarily as a sculptor, yet working with clay was just one facet of her boundless creative force. She experimented with pigments and textures, explored unconventional materials such as jute and mulberry bark, painted, drew, worked with watercolors, and printed. With a confident stroke and an infallible sense for sculptural form and color, she developed a distinct artistic language.
Her monumental standing figures unfold layers of visual, tactile, and intellectual depth, inviting exploration and dialogue. This sumptuously designed volume introduces her rich oeuvre and compelling artistic vision to a broader audience for the first time.
